Scene in Granada

There's lot to tell about in this disorderly blip (fun to view large).  We'd arrived a couple of hours earlier on the train from Seville to Granada. After our taxi driver dropped us off at the wrong place, we got a guy in a pizza joint to telephone our landlord and then took us to meet him nearby at the church in the background (San Cecilio).  The apartment is great--more on that later.

We went out to shop and found everything closed, at 5:30. We had passed a couple of cameramen interviewing people, and returning found this guy taking a context shot in the wonderful light.  Marylee is in the distance (purple jacket).  In the foreground is a wide pedestrian area with designs in small stones--common in these parts, with a plane tree of the sort I blipped last April.  Above the church is the massive Hotel Alhambra Palace.  We plan to visit the Alhambra on Saturday.

(We did return after 6:00 pm to get food for supper.)
