Homegrown Lemons!

Into Bath to meet with my book group friends to discuss “Sarah Thornhill” by Kate Grenville, a novel about love, tangled histories and how it matters to keep stories alive, bringing to life the early days of settlers in New South Wales. We all agreed that we’d recommend the book, especially to anyone who enjoys historical fiction or who has an interest in Australia.

Of course, as well as discussing the book, there was quite a lot of nattering and cake; a delicious lemon cake, made with homegrown lemons from C’s garden! It was so hard to tear myself away from that cosy roaring fire and head back out into the cold darkness and rain for the bus home...

A very long-winded link for anyone interested in the book:
