My topsy-turvy life

Tiring work

Nil by mouth but stable over night we saw Dr Cowley in the morning who -after speaking to the surgical team in Manchester- decided that it was best to try medical intervention rather than referral.

Apparently reflux can cause this thick, sticky mucus so Owen had his ranitidine upped and was started on domperidone.

They wanted him off the ward to reduce the risk of him picking up an infection. So after trying a couple of successful feeds were allowed home to keep an eye on him and offered a week's 'free pass' to the assessment unit so that we could bring him straight in if we needed to.

I don't think we'll be getting much sleep anytime soon.
I had slightly different plans for this weekend.
