A little bit of wood fettling..

Recently my smoothing plane handle snapped, being plastic, was never happy with its feel in my hand. So now a chance to change this, using a piece of firewood.
An oak off cut provide an afternoons entertainment, with a satisfactory result. Feels good in the hand now. Something to be said for natural materials, especially when shaped to fit your hand.
