On the common today someone asked me what tartan Polly was sporting. I had to admit I had no idea, although I suspected it was a Highland one as she’s a West Highland White terrier. Having looked at a list of tartans, I wonder if it’s a Stuart? I’m very happy to be corrected by someone who knows about these things, though!

In other news, it was the annual chicken slaughter last night at the poultry farm down the lane. It started sometime in the evening and went on until the early hours of the morning. I say this every time, but words can’t describe the horror of hearing distressed chickens meeting their demise :(
