Copper nugget

I found this copper nugget while doing geological exploration in the Coppermine, NWT area of Canada many years ago. It's about three inches across and weighs 125g (about a quarter of a pound). Only the tip (shown at far left, and in the thumbnail) was visible and I had to dig it out. I was offered a large silver nugget in exchange by another geologist, but my partner advised me to keep it.

You might be able to see the raw shiny copper poking through at a few dots on the extreme left, especially in the larger version.

The location attached to the image is where it was found, not where it was photographed.
