The Moon Itselves

She wore the Moon on a silver cord around her neck. It nestled into the hollow of her throat. She was not Goddess or a metaphor or anything like that, she was a perfectly normal, normal-sized woman. And the Moon was undoubtedly the Moon.

But there it was.

And that wasn’t the strangest thing.

She also wore the Moon - the same, unique,Moon - dangling from each ear.

And the three Moons shone in the silvery light of itself, shining down from the night sky.
