Lovely Lily

What an eyecatcher! This flower stem is around 4 metres tall though they can reach 6 metres. The flower cluster itself is bigger than your head.

It's a native Australian plant endemic to the New South Wales coast though this one has clearly hoped over the border into Queensland. This one lives on the banks of the Brisbane River.

(Doryanthes excelsa Gymea Lily)

It was Morningsong choir this morning - wonderful singing with lovely people.
