B&W Rotterdam

Shot close to where I parked my car on the Noorder Island.  It's a very narrow island right there in the middle of the Maas, but one of the most heavily bombed in 1940, and the 'brandgrens', or 'fire border', which outlines where the fires raged, is marked by lights on the pavement.  One day in the spring, I will take what is known as the Fire Tour as I'm really interested in seeing the entire bombed out area on foot.  No doubt I've walked along it and in it all this time.

Went to work, worked (another fine day, may they stay that way till the winter break and beyond), went back home.  A grey day but good enough for a B&W shot.  I'm not fond of mono but there are moments when it suits the atmosphere.
