Forth & Clyde Canal

D#1 was working from home today, so I took the bus into Maryhill to meet her for lunch in The Botany. We were there earlier this year when the pub/restaurant was called The Strathmore, but it has recently changed hands. According to the blurb:

"The new name for the recently-refurbished premises nods to the prisoners who started their journey to Botany Bay on the nearby Forth and Clyde Canal."

After a very tasty lunch we crossed the road to said canal and walked back along the canal path towards K's flat so that she could return to work and I caught the next bus home.

Despite the dull day there were some nice reflections on the water. This little bridge connects the Murano Street Student Village with Maryhill Road and easy access to the university campus.

Have a lovely weekend, blipmates, whatever you're up to.
