Homeward Bound

We left sunny wet Devon this morning and headed to the M5 for the journey home.  The journey was uneventful and we stopped at Bristol Services for coffee and Gloucester Services for lunch.  Gloucester Services is one of the newer pit stops, built to blend into the surrounding countryside with a low, curved grass roof and landscaped walk and play areas.  Inside is a very nice cafe plus a large 'farm' shop selling an extensive range of goods and food, at fairly high prices; after all there is no opposition on the motorway.  Anyway we bought a very nice curry there that we had for our tea.

Whilst there we had a walk to get some air and stretch before heading off again.  I took a few photos, this is the water feature by the lake at the rear of the building. There was still a nice display of marigolds.
