Ramblings and Mutterings

Vasa - Thanks Stockholm!

A morning to wander around Stockholm today.

Everyone recommended the Vasa Museum to me.  I can understand why, it blew me away.

The Vasa was a Swedish warship from the 17th century which sank on it's maiden voyage after travelling just a few thousand metres.  The Baltic Sea was polluted in this area after years of dumping waste into it, this worked in Vasa's favour as it preserved the wood.  So much so that it was raised fully intact.  Amazing!

I've loved my time in Stockholm, I would like to come again.

Timing worked well when we landed, I was able to catch an earlier train and be back in Wales at a decent time.  Back to Big D tomorrow.
