The Chefs

Today we began our quest for visiting and walking in each of the 41 North Carolina parks by attempting to visit Mt Mitchell State Park. It contains the highest peak in the state and its access is from the Blue Ridge Parkway. This part of the parkway was closed due to icy roads. We then travelled to Gorges State Park and hiked 4 miles to the Rainbow Falls, a strenuous walk, downhill going and uphill returning.

Tonight in Asheville we dined at one of our favorite restaurants, anywhere, Curate, wonderful Spanish tapas and great ambiance. We sit at the counter and watch the show. Nothing like it, and worth the trip.

Extra is the lovely girl who made us coffees at the Well Bread Cafe in Weaverville.
