This is a first ........ a Heron at Waterhead. 

It must be a juvenile as it had no fear of people. Only when a dog went in for a  paddle did it fly. 

I hadn't intended to go there but as one of our bird feeders was about to lose it's base I decided to go to the garden centre for a new one and the lake isn't much further. 

Think I've made progress today with the company that are providing my Aunt's daily care (at considerable cost). Too long a story for my blip word count.
