Cyber Monday Halloween Greetings

My friend and I sketched the persimmon tree again out in the back garden, but it wasn't until later when I was taking some archive shots that I saw this guy. I annoyed him for awhile trying to get a better face angle, and he finally just spun himself away to another fruit. 

We're gearing up for a week of predicted and much needed rain. The rain barrels are all full from the last brief storm--that happens so fast!   You'd need an array of barrels all along the property line to capture enough to make a real difference in summer irrigation.
