The joys of winter.

I had just spent a rather wet day trudging up Mosedale to get another 2 of my Birketts. Nice hills but shrouded in mist and wet snow on the tops. Jumped back in the car, heater on a nice warm drink and bite to eat and set off to my nights accommodation in Grassmere to be confronted by this sign. Now I had been above the height of Wrynose Pass on my travels but I had not seen any vehicles coming over the pass. If I go up and it's impassable it's difficult to turn around and if I don't it's about a 30 mile detour.
Got over with no problems but I bet some people cursed the sign.
