The bush fire situation is growing more serious by the hour, not helped by extremely strong variable hot dry winds. There have been more evacuations today. Fire fighters are working flat out and extra personnel have been brought in from New Zealand as well as other states. It's unusually hot again, even well away from bush fire areas.
