During the night, the wind had swung around again. This time a strong SSE was blowing in, and the air outside was strangely mild. A continuous roaring from the wood and the sight of the trees being battered around was enough to send anyone back under the duvet. However, it was the day I’d earmarked for delivering the Dunscore Digest. You can read it here in the comfort of your own home: https://www.dunscorechurch.co.uk/dev/wp-content/uploads/2018/11/Digest-Web-Winter-2018.pdf

One of the houses I deliver to is a portakabin, left over from postwar days. Outside is a row of horseshoes and garden ornaments. I was quite drawn to this cheery gnome riding a snail.Slow travel at its best :-)
