Behold The Conqueror

The battle for the niger seed continues.  There were a group of about six goldfinches chasing each other around the apple tree to see who could get the prime spot on the feeder..  Tried to capture the battle, I will never make a war photographer, there was just a blur of wings. So I had to wait for the melee to calm down.  This collage shows hopefuls waiting on the tree.  The final shot is the ultimate winner.
