Lovers in the Mist

Today was atrocious weather wise: misty, constantly wet and at times the wind was gusting at 50-60mph. I struggle to walk in that, so with icy rain lashing our faces too, it wasn’t fun. I’ll admit the question ‘why?’ did enter my head at one point.

There were few blipping opportunities but do you see the lovers in the rock?

Of course ‘practice makes perfect’ is the answer to why we were exploring small contour features on Lingmore Fell.

Thankfully I’m trialling some contact lenses on Saturday, which is a relief, as glasses really don’t work well with rain drops on them.

Intothehills was giving us a practice ML nav assessment day. It was tough but all in all, we didn’t do too badly.
