A Fond Farewell

Today I consigned these two watches to a specialist auction to be held in Feb 2019.
They have been part of my life for many years - the square Heuer Monaco since 1971 and the Omega since the early 1980s. They have both served me proud, but I rarely wear them nowadays.  A cheaper quartz affair is all I really need and these two beauties spend their life sitting on an Automatic Winder.
Today I decided it was time I let them go so that someone else can have some pleasure from them.
The Monaco is especially of interest because it became synonymous with Steve McQueen when he wore it in his 1971 film 'Le Mans'.  As this is the original model it is very collectible.
The Omega I really liked - it was a wonderful workhorse - never left my wrist for years - but it's time to move on.
