Whoop, Whoop!

Amazingly the rain stopped early this afternoon and we jumped in the car and took off over the Carse. MaggieD spotted these big white birds in a field so I pulled over thinking they might be domestic geese. They turned out to be six Whooper Swans on their winter visit. Great to see them.
This morning we took Chloe into the Small Animal Hospital to see the ophthalmologist. After a very thorough examination we were advised that her eyes are a little small, hence the droopy eyelid, but the big surprise was that she has cataracts in both eyes. No treatment for the time being but a follow up check in a couple of months and some eye medication.
No matter what, she is still our happy, outgoing, enthusiastic friendly wee rascal and long may that last!
