Christmas shopping at the Farm

The Hop Shop where the UK's largest lavender farm is located, and which is local to us, held their first ever evening opening today.

The barn and the farm grounds, including the little bridge over the River Darent were lit by white fairy lights. It looked very pretty against the dark sky and the unlit lane.

Inside the barn were lots of Christmas goodies - tea from their own blenders and lots of products using their own lavender, plus crafts items and Christmas decorations.

They gave us some delicious alcohol free mulled "wine" although mine had a drop of brandy added.
There were free samples of cheese and artisan biscuits, lavender chocolates, chutneys and other delicacies to taste.

A great way to do some Christmas shopping on a cold, wet and windy evening.
