Portobello Beach Edinburgh Day 94

West Lomond snow capped this morning but her easterly sibling at 424 metres has got away with just a light dusting barely visible from Portobello Beach.

The London flights were delayed by fog and came in in quick succession with the Heathrow shuttle being served by a larger B767 creating a fine sight orientating for the westerly Edinburgh runway over Inchkeith island.

The flocks of sea birds graze on the nutrients flowing out of The Figgate Burn. The fourteen swans that were an autumn feature of these sands at the mouth of the Figgate have disappeared - not sure if they are migratory or just come to the seaside in the milder months!

The coffee vendors along the promenade were doing brisk trade on this chilly but glorious winter's morn. The significant ice patches, were, the only detraction from this winter seaside paradise.
