I went to a vegan café that opened earlier this year in Ely, just down the hill from my usual haunt. The café is where the home of MasterChef macarons used to be.
I ordered avocado and tomato on toast and rhubarb and custard cake. They cheekily brought me a large teacup of chilli-sin-carne as well! I was almost, but not quite, too full to eat the cake.
