Final Fling

Eryngium bourgatii put on a spectacular show in the summer.  Those stems are now brown but still of architectural value, their seed collected.  This morning I noticed this wee, late stem, just a few inches high, the flowers beginning to take on their electric blue colour.  

A quiet day at home.  Admin early and late.  Very special to spend time with an old friend who came to lunch and stayed on for a while after.   A tired Jamie needs recharging so I'm off to get him a tasty treat for supper :-)
