being brave

D was working today so I was on my own. I zipped up my pockets and drew myself a map from Google maps, as I didn't want to get my phone out after yesterday's experiences. However, I once I got walking, I realised that the map wasn't much use because very few streets had signs. Instead I started memorising landmarks so that I could find my way back to the hotel. I found my self at the gates of the university and the grounds looked quiet, leafy and inviting, and so I went in. By chance, I ended up at the Ethnographic Museum, where I spent the afternoon, learning a lot about Ethiopia history and culture.
This lion was given to Emperor Haile Selassie and was stuffed when it died in 1950.
