The Eating Season

has begun.
Had my first outing with friends today for a Christmas get together; first of quite a few. Went to the Imperial Hotel, Barnstaple for a delicious two courses, plus coffee and mince pies afterwards in the lounge.  
The cost was under £20 which, for the four star food, silver service and  the crackers with the inevitable jokes (groan) was excellent value.
I'm pleased to say that as I had sea bream, I have come home pleasantly sated, not over stuffed!
