Picture 2: "An Eas" (The Waterfall)

Waterfall beside the Eas Brae going down the main road into Tobermory. Covered in vegetation in summer, can clearly see it in winter. The rock is Palaeogene basalt, and shows a definite columnar structure to it. In the Pre-Tertiary Mull Memoir, (Lee et al, 1925) fossils from Jurassic rocks the stream bed here are also mentioned.(pages 89 and 94 in the Memoir)

Probably not the easiest stream section to work on...
