Scottish Champs

Weird day at the racing office for me. On the one hand I can tell that the training has really, really been working; on the other I was really disappointed with the result in the V40 race.

How do those two seemingly contradictory statements square up? Well... I did my usual and felt I had to hold back in the middle portion of the race; then on the last lap I gave it a bit more, made up five places, had my fastest lap of the race (by far) and still finished with a bit to spare in the tank. I need to realise that I'm a little fitter today, and so don't need to be so tentative in that middle of the race.

Much to learn. Still.
