Polar heart rate monitor. Likely to be more than twenty years old now, and it seems like a different life when it was last used. Was a lot fitter, and, of course, younger back then. Used for a while in training, but only in one event - the Forres 10k. The transmitter was accurate enough, but for some reason the receiver wasn't, and displayed higher readings. No, my heart rate wasn't 190 for most of that race, nor just over 200 for the last stretch! Maximum heart rate, is oft reckoned to be 220 minus your age, which would've been circa 180 back then... my maximum heart rate, that is, rather than my age!

Some tidying out today, when the above was found.

This is likely to develop into a series, for those days I've done little else. And there's plenty old stuff needing dealt with, perhaps just leaving a photo as a reminder. But what to call such a series? -  A different time and place; In a former life; Back in the day; Old memories; Younger times.

Think I'll go with: In younger days  (#IYD) for such Blips
