You have to be really desperate if you have to Blip the cat (TFIC*), and I've been keeping this as an emergency subject, a BoD**, for quite some time. This all means, that I've done very little of consequence today, indeed that applies to the whole weekend... or, more correctly, to another weekend.

I don't have a cat, or any other pets, thankfully. Well, unless you count this lady, and some of her pals. If they thought they could get at some food in the house, they'd be in!

You can't own a cat, but I do own tonight's subject. It's very low maintenance. No fur about the place. No dead trophies brought home. And no cleaning up, or feeding. Merely a light dusting now and again (not frequently enough...). Must've been given it about twenty years ago.

My mother has one a bit like it, and also years ago, when one of my toddler nephews came around, he spotted it sitting by the fire. The running around suddenly stopped, and he studied it carefully and quietly from a safe position, looking over the edge of a settee. After a couple of minutes, he decide it was safe, and stepped out from his barrier. Legs and body wavy slightly, as toddlers do, he pointed at it and loudly proclaimed, "Look! ...Not working!" To which the numerous other family in the room all fell about in hysterics. That memory still makes me chuckle, 20+ years on.
