Copenhagen and Me.

Other Side Town

There are several modern looking stretches of waterways as well as the traditional stuff the boat tours show. This is a university and some apartments tucked away, over the water on Amager, a man made island part of the city. Amager was a small island off the coast of Copenhagen back in the 1600s but an ambitious King expanded it to feed the population. The land was worked by Dutch immigrants and is still known to this day as Shit Island as the population sent their night soil for the fields. What goes around comes around, as they say.
