Looking for lunch

We wanted to try the lunch at a cafeteria on the industrial estate today. It gets very good reviews and we thought that it would be fun to go an eat with the locals. The Industrial estate lies parallel to the campsite, across the main road and on the other side of a small stand of forest.  A well-worn ath has been trod between t he site and the estate and we thought that we would find our way by simply following it.

Stand turned out to be the incorrect term, as much of the forest is now flattened and impenetrable. We had to retrace our steps and go around by the road.

The Menu of the Day is priced at 7€ to include Soup, Main Dish and sides, fruit or dessert, bread, drink and coffee. A Daily Special is priced at 7,50€ and today's Special was the Portuguese favourite, the Francesinha. We had to try it.

Having seen the size of the portions, we elected to skip the soup. We chose fruit juice for our drink. The Francesinha was a might bite, so we chose wisely. However, the sauce was incredibly salty so I asked for an extra drink, a cold beer. Our cash for this was waved away. I had a baked pear for dessert, tasty with cinnamon. The coffee was spectacular.

What value! No need for any supper this evening,

We ate alongside workers from the various businesses around the estate and folk who had driven out from the village to eat,. A really good experience.
