Blipvent Calendar 5 : Baking Day

Finally got my Christmas cake made today, the fruit’s been soaking a good few days. The baking was interrupted by a frantic phone call from school to say H was missing, she hadn’t turned up for an exam and wasn’t registered for the afternoon. As she’s dropped French she wasn’t even taking the exam, nor was she in medical or the library. I suggested the art department and after a heart pounding 15 minutes they found her there. The teacher hadn’t done her registration mark. I can laugh about it tonight.
