Cake!

The December meeting of U3A Geology is always informal; we have summaries of the various trips we have attended in the past session, jewellery and prints for sale by members and there is always, always, cake.

Most are in the form of a geological structure or feature, this is the one on our table, representing Fossil Grove, which I blipped earlier last month. But Jim, the creator, based this on a photograph taken when the fossils were first discovered, in the quarry and exposed to the elements, with the backdrop of trees - my extra photo shows this. Sadly, fortunately for me very few people sampled this cake so I managed to eat much of a marzipan tree and some rock before the meeting ended.
