Infant Dedication

We had an infant dedication in our church today. This is different to infant baptism held in quite a few churches. There is no water involved, instead the baby is dedicated to the Lord and the parents undertake to bring them up in a Christian way. As the child grows they have the opportunity then to confess their faith and take part in a full immersion baptism. As a part of our family service the children had to guess the names of children in the bible from the names of their parents. The correct answers were put on to pictures that when completed and put together showed a baby as this blip shows. We don't like to show any bias so there were two teams of children and resulting in a boy and girl baby on the boards.
