Life's Journey

Loserville

A really special day today, heading up to town on the Leighton Park minibus with a bunch of teachers, to see Eliza Bennett as female lead in "Loserville" at the Garrick Theatre. I have known Eliza since she was 5, and even in the primary school Christmas production, it was obvious she had "it", star quality and natural talent. She then went to Leighton Park, and was in my daughter's year, so I have followed her career and successes with interest and love.
The show was great fun, real feelgood entertainment with a polished young cast and really clever staging and great music, but it was so special to see Eliza, who was knock-out.
At the end, she ran round to the front of the theatre to meet us, to the surprise of all the other people coming out, for huge hugs with her teachers. Here she is with our wonderful Head of Drama Geraint, who not surprisingly worked closely with her, and Mitch, who teaches Philosophy.
