Spey Bay

Driving along the coast from Inverness to Banff, I watched the sky change through a range of moods and colours, so stopped at Spey Bay, where Scotland's longest and fastest-flowing river enters the North Sea. There is a strange pattern of gravel dips and ridges at the estuary, and it was with slight nervousness about the shifting tide that I set up on the longest spit of land. The wind was howling so hard that my eyese were streaming and I had some difficulty seeing what I was doing. The sky continued to change rapidly over the crashing waves and I did not hang about.
