A Handkerchief Patch of Blue.....

.... above Villeneuve on this damp and windy day. The lake looked so cold towards Queen Victoria 's Island (where the single tree is). In the shallows, by the hide at the very end of the lake, a solitary cormorant thought he would encourage the blue sky to widen by opening his wings (see extra).The sky and wings closed in a matter of minutes.
