Dubh Lochan

With the sun shining as I headed for Loch Lomond, I was looking forward to blipping my tree at Milarrochy, but as luck would have it, when I pulled into the car park the tree was sitting in shadow - see extra.

A few miles up the road is the wee Dubh Lochan (Black Loch), well-named as it nestles in woodland beside the University Field Station on Loch Lomond.

Now I'm back at the Rowardennan hill farm to look after Ruby, the Jack Russell, and border collie Ben for a week. Unfortunately, blipping- and entertainment-wise, the two Basset hounds are away for a holiday with their humans, so it's going to be a very quiet week.
