Pike Place Market

Pike Place Market is a public market overlooking Elliot Bay waterfront in Seattle. The market opened in 1907 and is one of the oldest continuously operated public farmers markets in the U.S.A. The open air fish market, founded in 1930 is known for their tradition of fishmongers throwing fish that customers have purchased before they are wrapped. We found a great bowl of clam chowder at a cafe in the market place, and products for sale ranging from hand made leather slippers to bouquets of dried flowers.
