Reindeer

We went to buy a Christmas tree at a nearby farm and came across this in the barn.  What I learned is that normally reindeer would not have antlers at this time of year, as they shed them after the rutting season.  However, if they have been gelded they do not lose their antlers, but retain them indefinitely.
