Capitol Christmas Tree

Meetings down-town this afternoon, so a chance for a stroll (ended up walking for 2 hours and renting a bike to get back to the Metro station) around the Mall.

I liked the Capitol in the low sun with the Christmas tree in front.

My Extra is from the Lincoln memorial.  I was drawn to come back here as it feels like a really special place.  It celebrates someone who had the courage to stand up for what he believed, and somehow it still brings people together.  It always seems to be filled with people from many different ethnicities and places, all quietly and respectfully reading the Gettysburg Address (on one wall) and his second Inaugural Address on the other, even late into the evening.
