Old Money

From the good old days when Britain was great.

For Homework, list all the things that are better now than they were then.

A beautiful winter's day, great frost to start.  Somehow it was dark before I wielded the camera so you have my pocket money from 1967.  A one shot day.   At the end of a marathon of outings and appointments Jamie called in on the school social time at Open in Norwich.  The grand building used to be a bank, the conference rooms are themed around coins.

We started with two appointments at opposite ends of the N&N this morning ... and just an hour to spare before we needed to head off for the weekly violin lesson.  Hitting the longest car park queue I have ever seen there, I was not hopeful but turning the car around and heading for the inpatient car park we secured a place in the nick of time.  The staff at the first stop were working flat out, several heads short of a full team but still got us through speedily despite ours being a 'just turn up' appointment.  The second stop was equally speedy and we were on our way in under an hour.  The car parking facilities may be dire but the staff are top notch!

Hope for a - much needed - quiet night in now :-)
