First Outing

Today the foals were allowed out for the first time since moving in four days ago. Needless to say, they enjoyed it.

We let the two grown-ups into the field to join them and chaos broke out. Nero, Angie's 10-year-old gelding was very confused and upset. At one point he came to me standing at the bottom of the field and filming the events on a video camera with my eye stuck to the eyepiece. Nero in an unusually sporty move did a 180° spin and at the same time lashing out with his hind feet knocking me to the ground as one of his metal-shod hooves hit my knee. Thankfully it turned out to have been a very close call and there was no harm done!
