Magnificent handwork

The opening of a large exhibit of excellent handwork, mostly textiles, was held in the town of San Bartolo Coyotepec. I didn't attend the opening because there are always so many people at those events that I'd rather go later so I can look and take photos in peace. The artesans, who are mostly from the states of Oaxaca and Mexico, are having a four day sale in the city of Oaxaca. This is an example of hand embroidery that adorns cotton blouses made by the women of San Antonino.
