What the wind blew in

The icy wind was merciless out on the hills today. I think our visitors will be glad to head back to warmth and civilisation (Edinburgh) for the rest of their trip.

In other news, we’ve just been told we’re not eligible to use the new taxi / bus replacement service even though it goes right past our door due to our postcode. Borders council pulled their share of the funding from our bus route meaning our last bus home from Edinburgh is now at 6.35pm. After months of campaigning they are subsidising a taxi service to people cut off from transport as a result, except those of us who officially live in Midlothian. Raging!
