Having himself a merry little Christmas

This chocolate bear is enjoying making the Yuletide gay, although I hope he's not sitting too close to that candle or his Yuletide might well come to an untimely end.

Its the run up to Christmas at work - the number of working days left is down to single figures.  There's quite a bit of pressure to try to get deals done before things slow down completely, which makes life a little more manic than usual.  Still it won't be much longer and then all those troubles will be out of sight.

I did take a quick walk at lunchtime to get some fresh air, but made the mistake of wandering into Bristol's Broadmead shopping centre, which was jammed full of people queuing at tills etc! The commercial element of Christmas (definitely the least enjoyable bit) is definitely in full swing :-)

On a better note, tomorrow evening sees the chaps from the Village head into nearby Bath to visit a few pubs and grab a bite to eat.  "Faithful friends who are dear to us gather near to us once more".  Then at the weekend the tree goes up and I get to hang that star from the highest bough - can't wait :-)
