Foxton - St Andrews

I had another late afternoon local excursion today to Lubbenham and then Foxton again. I could have happily stayed in but kicked myself out of the door as I was just being lazy.

The nativity display at Foxton was a striking sight as twilight began to descend.  The extra is of The Tower House at Lubbenham. Formerly called 'The Cottage' (Some cottage!) - built originally in 1771 and extended in 1862 as a 'hunting box', the tower being added in 1865 in order to be able to view horse racing in an adjacent field. I'm not an expert in buildings of Leicestershire, by the way, but I'm alright at reading blue plaques!
